Irrfan Khan says goodbye to Bollywood industry forever

Film actor Irrfan Khan breathed his last at a hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday. Irfan Khan, who has been struggling with the disease for a long time, was admitted to the hospital recently. Irrfan's departure has left a void in Bollywood.

The “Maqbool” actor, who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018, lost his mother in Jaipur just four days ago. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital with a colon infection.

The actor, who started his career in 1998 with the film Salaam Bombay, did not think that he would make even his acting crazy to Hollywood. In Hollywood, he acted in historical films such as Mighty Heart and Jurassic Park.


Irfan Khan was given the Padma Shri Award by 2011. In 2004 he won the Filmfare Best Villain Award for his role in film Haasil. In 2007, he appeared in the box office hits Metro, for which he received a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award. His get  was the Filmfare Award for Best Actor of that year for hindi Mudium

After the death of Irrfan Khan, Bollywood veterans including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal paid tribute. At the same time, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other leaders also saluted him.
