The actor was tight-lipped about the whole issue for a long time. In fact, he was called out in the past by Tanushree Dutta for working with Nana Patekar despite her allegations of sexual misconduct against him. But, now the actor has taken a stand and has said that he won't be working with any proven offenders.
Tanushree Dutta can be called the torchbearer of the Indian MeToo movement since she was the first one to reveal about the sexual misconduct that she had to go through during the shoot of Horn Ok Pleasss by Nana Patekar who was helped by Ganesh Acharya. After her allegations, many women - celebs and non-celebs have opened up about actors, producers and directors harassing them sexually and mentally.
As of now, Nana Patekar, Sajid Khan, Vivek Agnihotri, Subhash Kapoor, Chetan Bhagat, Rajat Kapoor, and many more are accused of sexual harassment by women.
