Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim‘s Secret Superstar continued to shatter box office records at the Chinese box office. The musical drama has earned the staggering amount of Rs 703 crore in just 24 days in China. Looking at its phenomenal run, we are expecting the film to achieve new milestones in the coming days. Despite new Hollywood releases, Secret Superstar has managed to dominate the box office.
Talking about Secret Superstar, the film revolves around the life of a teenage girl named Insia Malik, who dreams to become a singer. But due to her father’s conservative thinking, she tries another way to achieve her goal with the help of a music director. With the stupendous success of Secret Superstar, it seems Aamir Khan has decoded the success of how to attract the Chinese audience. The actor has earlier achieved box office milestones with Dangal and PK.
Directed by Advait Chandan, the film also stars Meher Vij and Raj Arjun in pivotal roles. Apart from becoming the box office success, the film also received prestigious honours at the Filmfare Awards, which includes Best supporting actress (Meher Vij), Best actress critics (Zaira Wasim) and Best singer (Meghna Mishra). On March 2, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is releasing in China as Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle. With the whopping 8000 screens, we are expecting this film to repeat the humungous success there just like Secret Superstar and Dangal.
