Karan Johar Kapoor & Sons’ seems to have taken to heart that famous Tolstoy line: “all happy families are alike, each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way”, in the way it chooses a specific kind of unhappiness for each member of the Kapoor family.
It's good to see that Karan Johar's brand of cinema has moved away from loving your 'perfect' family to loving your dysfunctional family...Writers Shakun Batra and Ayesha Devitre Dhillon come up with characters that are refreshingly flawed.
