An action thriller, the film, which stars Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan in key roles, has received mixed reviews from critics. The collections are expected to increase on Saturday, the report further states.
Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar’s unusual friendship in the recently released ‘Wazir’ has been liked by many who have watched the film. The film, which also features Aditi Rao Hydari as Farhan’s wife, has collected a total of Rs. 5.57 cr on its opening day at the box office. The first release of 2016, ‘Wazir’ seems to be on the right track as the word of mouth of the film is also positive.
The movie has done well at premium plexes as tweeted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The overseas collections of the film are Rs. 4.07 cr. With this the overall collections have gone to Rs. 9.64 cr.
The movie has opened to positive response from the viewers. The film has heaped praises especially for the strong script which has been penned down jointly by Abhijat Joshi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, ‘Wazir’ released on Friday (January 8).
The box office is probably pegging its hopes on Sunny Deol's comeback film Ghayal Once Again which releases next week and on Akshay Kumar's Airlift which opens on January 22.
