Biography :
Salman Khan (born Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan) is an
Indian film actor, producer, television presenter and philanthropist.
The son of actor and screenwriter Salim Khan, Salman began his acting
career with Biwi ho to aisi but it was his second film Maine pyar kiya
which was a super hit and garnered him Filmfare award for best male
debut. Salman has starred in several commercially successful films, such
as Bhaghi, Saajan, Hum aapke hain koun, Hum dil de chuke sanam, Karan
Arjun, Judwaa, Pyar kiya toh darna kya, Hum saath saath hain, Wanted,
Bodyguard, Dabangg, Dabangg 2, Ek tha Tiger, Kick, etc. He has done over
80 films and is currently known as the 100-crore club member. He is
also popular as the host of Big Boss, which he has been presenting for
three seasons. He has two younger brothers, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan
and actor-director-producer Sohail Khan. Helen is his stepmother. He
heads the charity foundation Being Human and is known for his
philanthropic work.
