Bajirao Mastani‘s most awaited second song, Pinga, released on Sunday and it got mixed reactions from various people across the world. While some loved PC and Dippy’s dhamakedaar dance performance, there was a certain section of people who feel that the makers completely ignored the historical and anthropological aspects of the Peshwa era and focused only on the glamour quotient. Yesterday, Mohini Karkaray, a descendant of the Peshwas called out the director of the film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and accused him of not researching about the life and times of the 18th century Peshwas.

While the debate still goes on, Deepika Padukone (who essays the role of the warrior princess Mastani) reacted over the whole issue. She gave a very non-committal reply over the controversy as she said, “Yes, I read some stories about it today. But I have no idea what it’s all about.” Ask her about her opinion on the same and Dippy turns defensive. She told, “I think the best person to talk about this would be Sanjay Leela Bhansali and I guess, I would rather let him clear it.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to launch the official trailer of Bajirao Mastani in the presence of actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, while Priyanka Chopra joins in via a live video call from USA today.
